We can announce a number of important developments at Ares Materials during the second quarter: a broadening product line, exciting commercial traction, growth in our team and awards and validation for our technology. We are providing a brief summary here, but if you want to learn more please inquire at email@example.com. We’d love to hear from you.
EXPANDED PRODUCT LINE
Last quarter we let you know that our new material technology, Pylux, had launched. We’ve given that original Pylux formulation the name Pylux-MF to denote its appeal in electronics micro-fabrication applications that require higher temperatures (up to 300°C). In this update, we’re pleased to announce that in direct response to customer requests and feedback, Ares has launched two additional product lines: Pylux-H and ATB. Pylux-H significantly improves the surface hardness of our original material formulation making it perfect for, among other things, display cover lenses. ATB (Ares Temporary Bonding) is a versatile new material that can be used as a temporary bonding agent for display layers as they are fabricated.
By the way, you should check out our latest publication in Information Display Magazine (page 22).
AWARDS & RECOGNITION
It’s not just customers who are excited. Last quarter we told you about our award from the International Exposition and Conference for Printed Electronics in Germany. This quarter we are pleased to announce that Ares Materials was awarded a prestigious National Science Foundation SBIR Phase I award for the further development of our spatially-heterogeneous modulus substrates for fabrication of stretchable electronics. It is a great honor and recognition of the truly novel work of Ares scientists. This award provides significant non-dilutive funding that will allow us to build on our groundbreaking preliminary work in stretchable electronics. We have already started discussions with interested customers regarding commercial opportunities.
TEAM & FACILITIES
We completed the installation of our new clean room facility (600 ft² of Class 1000 cleanroom) in 1Q and by 2Q it has already become a popular destination for customer visits. Since the announcement of Pylux, we have hosted multiple teams from around the world who are interested in what Ares is doing. We’ve also added a key staff position. Mr. Jesus Espinoza joined Ares as a Process Development Specialist to work primarily on the development of new process and materials at Ares. He is a recent graduate of The University of Texas at Dallas but already has several years of research experience under his belt, much of it at Ares where he been on our part-time team.
